Satan's Fully in Charge

CW FISHER
Iraq, for the blind, is erupting into civil war, and the thunderingly dumb presence of U.S. soldiers isn't helping. Two parents are dead because U.S. troops thought they were suicide bombers. Cowards, morons, thugs, or scared over-trained kids following orders to shoot if if if--the idiocy is in the idiot with the idea that American troops should be standing there like targets in the first place. The U.S. causes the very problem it's trying to correct because the U.S. hasn't figured out yet that the U.S. is the problem. Why is the oaf in this picture still holding his gun? Who's he there to guard, the children? Will he shoot them if they get out of control? Or is he just scaring them a little more now that their parents are dead? Look at this soldiers costume: he's a stormtrooper out of Star Wars, he's got antenna, he's got video. He's a hightech infrared sonovabitch uploaded with everything he needs, except judgement.

And yet! This kind of judgement has never been asked of a soldier before. His enemy's invisible, she explodes in markets. Checkpoint judgement snaps on, snaps off, either holds its fire or lets it rip. No judgements can be good in downtown Hell.

The following link is rough stuff, but it must be seen. This is what happened to a family of five, traveling on vacation, something we've probably all done, kids asleep in back, drowsy parents, radio on, coming to a checkpoint, can't hear the warning shots and so take 100 rounds to the head, and leave the kids with something to think about for the rest of their lives. Read the story. Iraqi Children Witness Killing Of Parents By U.S. Occupation Forces.
